Scholarship program on support of the outstanding youth of Kyzylorda oblast started in 2005. The program is based on the concept to facilitate opportunity for the high-grade education and professional development for the youth of Kyzylorda Oblast and to provide “PetroKazakhstan” company, Kyzylorda oblast and the republic as a whole with a source of highly-trained professionals.
PetroKazakhstan’s Scholarship Program for Kyzylorda oblast for the year 2011 will provide up to10 (ten) personal scholarships to be awarded to secondary school graduates, at the age up to 21, residents of Kyzylorda oblast. The program stipulates obtaining the bachelor’s degree for the most demanded specialties in “PetroKazakhstan.
The Scholarship program includes the opportunity for summer internship, working alongside a professional staff mentor, and a five year employment contract with “PetroKazakhstan” after graduation.
Main principles of Scholarship program:
- high level of applicants’ preparation;
- conducting the selection process on the principles of fairness and transparency;
- sending scholarship recipients for studying at the best universities of China.
Qualification criteria of the program:
• Must be a citizen of Kazakhstan who has permanent residence in Kyzylorda Oblast;
• Must have secondary education, including school graduates of 2011;
• Aged not older than 21 as of March 31, 2011;
• Grade point average – not less than 4 as per 5 grade system, and not less than 3.3 for 4 grade system of evaluation
• Good knowledge of English language
